Richard T. Chapman, Jr., Partner
Mr. Chapman was born in Beaumont, Texas, in 1954, was graduated from the University of Texas in 1978, and was admitted to the bar in Texas in 1979. He is currently a member of the Victoria County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Chapman is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has served on the Boards of Hospice of Victoria, the South Texas Zoological Society, Trinity Episcopal School and First Christian Church. He is the present District Chairman of Ducks Unlimited. His principal areas of practice are commercial law, secured transactions, bankruptcy and creditor rights.

Janis L. Scott, Partner
Mrs. Scott was born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1953. She earned a B.A. from Goucher College and was graduated with honors in 1975. Mrs. Scott earned her M.S. from Texas A & M University in 1979 and received her J.D. from the University of Houston in 1981. She was a member of Phi Delta Phi. Mrs. Scott was admitted to the bar in Texas in 1982. She is a member of the Victoria County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas. She has served on the Session and Board of Deacons of First Presbyterian Church, as well as other civic, cultural, and real estate related associations. Mrs. Scott is Board Certified in Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. For 15 years, she has served as a City of Victoria Planning Commissioner, serving as secretary from 1990 to 1992 and chairperson from 1992 to 2005. In 2002, she garnered statewide recognition by receiving the Planning Commissioner award from the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association. Mrs. Scott is primarily involved in the practice of real estate and commercial transactions, as well as banking law.

J. Milton Chapman, Partner
J. Milton Chapman was born in 1962 and was raised in Olney, Illinois. He graduated as class valedictorian of East Richland High School in Olney, Illinois in 1980 and received his B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1984. He received his J. D. degree from the law school in 1986. Mr. Chapman was admitted to the bar in Texas in 1986.
Mr. Chapman joined the firm in 1990 and became a partner in 1998. He is Board Certified in Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and his principal areas of practice are real estate law, commercial transactions, estate planning and probate law, corporate and business law, and oil & gas law. He is a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the State Bar of Texas, and has been a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.
From 1991 through 1993, he served as a director of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and as treasurer of that organization. He has additionally served as President of the Victoria Rotary Club, the Victoria Jaycees, the Mid Coast Baylor Club, the Boys & Girls Club of Victoria and the Deleon District of the Boys Scouts of America, along with serving as a director on various charitable boards in Victoria.

Duane G. Crocker, Partner
Mr. Crocker was born in Victoria, Texas, in 1968, was graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991, and Texas Tech University School of Law in 1994. Mr. Crocker joined the firm in 1994 and became a partner January 1, 2003. He is a member of the Victoria County Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the State Bar of Texas. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Community Food Bank of Victoria, serving as President in 2000 and 2001, and he has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Victoria. He is the current Area Chairman for Ducks Unlimited. His practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, including both personal injury and commercial matters, as well as corporate and business law.

Pamela D. Orsak
Pamela D. Orsak was born in Houston, Texas in 1973, and received her BBA summa cum laude from the University of Houston in 1996 and her J.D. from Duke University in 1999. Ms. Orsak was admitted to the bar in Texas in 1999. She served as a briefing attorney for Justice Kem Frost on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals from 1999 to 2000. She then served as a staff attorney for Harris County Probate Court No. 3 from 2000 to 2002. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Victoria County Bar Association. Her principal areas of practice are estate planning, probate law, and appellate law.

James N. Stofer, of Counsel
Mr. Stofer was born in Victoria, Texas, in 1937, attended Washington and Lee University and graduated from the University of Texas in 1959, and the University of Texas School of Law in 1962. Mr. Stofer was admitted to the bar in Texas in 1962. He served as Assistant Attorney General of Texas from 1963 through 1964. He is a member of the Victoria County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Texas Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. He is primarily a personal injury and civil trial attorney, including condemnation.
